Newport, R.I. (April 23, 2019) – Hundreds of adult and children’s socks were generously donated by the community during the BankNewport and OceanPoint Insurance “Kind Heart, Warm Soles” collection drive last month. The goal of the collection drive was to provide children and adult socks to benefit local shelters in support of their mission to serve those most in need.
At the conclusion of the collection drive, BankNewport and OceanPoint Insurance representatives transported all sock donations to six local shelters: East Bay Coalition for the Homeless (Riverside), Harrington Hall (Cranston), Lucy’s Hearth (Middletown), Providence Rescue Mission, Welcome House of South County (Wakefield), and the Woonsocket Homeless Shelter.
