BankNewport Names Hollie B. Lussier Executive Vice President, Chief Legal and Compliance Officer

NEWPORT, R.I. (October 10, 2022) – BankNewport is pleased to announce that Hollie B. Lussier has been named executive vice president, chief legal and compliance officer. In her new position, Lussier is responsible for implementing a comprehensive legal and compliance strategy, managing all legal matters pertaining to the Bank, and providing counsel on strategic initiatives.
Prior to her appointment, Lussier was executive vice president, chief risk officer and general counsel at Bristol County Savings Bank in Taunton, Massachusetts. Previously, she was general counsel with AAA Southern New England/AAA Southern New England Bank, and also had worked in several capacities for Citizens Financial Group, Inc. in Providence, including senior counsel, senior vice president and head of business services for RBS Legal, Americas and senior counsel, vice president and head of business services with Citizens Legal. Lussier also served as vice president and counsel for Bank of America Corporation in Boston.
Lussier has also served on the Audit and Compliance and Strategic Planning Committees for Care New England, the Leadership Counsel for the Arthritis Foundation, New England Region and as a committee member for Bryant University’s Women’s Summit.
Lussier holds a Bachelor of Arts from Providence College and a J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law. She resides in Wickford, Rhode Island.
