BankNewport One of RI's Best Places to Work

NEWPORT, R.I. (June 9, 2008) – BankNewport was honored at the Best Places to Work in Rhode Island 2008 award ceremony held on June 4, 2008 at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick. Representatives from BankNewport’s human resources department accepted the award on behalf of the organization. Presented by Providence Business News in conjunction with Best Companies Group, the ceremony recognized twenty-three organizations chosen as the Best Places to Work in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts. BankNewport was the only bank recognized, and was only one of six organizations in the “large business” category (i.e., 150 or more employees) awarded this distinction. The information collected from both instruments were combined and reviewed by Best Companies to determine the strengths and opportunities of participating organizations.
