BankNewport Names Vice President
 Anthony R. Rego |
NEWPORT, R.I. (July 23, 2007) – BankNewport President and CEO, Thomas W. Kelly, recently announced the appointment of Anthony R. Rego to vice president and branch manager of the Bank’s Warren office. Rego began his career at BankNewport in 1996 and has held various positions, most recently serving as assistant vice president and manager at the same branch location. He is responsible for branch operations, business development and staff development.
Rego earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Roger Williams University in Bristol. He received a Master’s degree in international business from Johnson and Wales University in Providence. He holds a Rhode Island Insurance Producers License and is a Registered ParaplannerSM.
Rego is a member of the Rotary Club of Warren, where he currently serves as treasurer, a member of the East Bay Chamber of Commerce, a mentor at the Kickemuit Middle School in Warren, auditor for St. Francis Xavior Church in East Providence, and a member of the board of directors of the George Hale Library in Warren, where he currently serves as treasurer. Anthony and his wife, Carole, make their home in East Providence, Rhode Island.
